AFAIK the DPF is only fitted to Signums, estates and autos. So probably not.
why would it not be fitted to the others? Engine specific component, no?
Nope not specific to engines apart from diesels and they're only fitted to siggys, estates and autos.
I'm guessing that its due to EC Emissions and regulations for Diesel engines.
The Signum has the same wheel base as the Vectra Estate, which are both longer than the Vectra Hatch. This means the cars are heavier which produce more emissions. The auto produces more emissions cos its an auto.
So the Auto Hatchback, Estate and Signum 1.9 CDTi's all have DPF Filters
Can't you normally tell by watching for a plume of black smoke when you rev it? Thought DPF were supposed to get rid of this?
also you can tell it if your vectra has DPF by differential pressure sensor (a black plastic sensor 1x5cm , 2 rubber hoses (in some cases only 1) come to it + a connector) which I think was located somewhere near diesel fuel filter.
All diesels will have to have one by 2009 I believe, so it will be coming to the hatch as well, the astra got one when it was facelifted at the begining of the year ..
