Default How understanding is your partner?

Well first came the car which came in at 12k which was 2k more than i was supposed to be spendind on a car. Then came ...twin exit conversion from cat back , numerous Irmy badges ,a plethora of car care products , CRD2 Tuning box (which has now been sold coz i changed my mind),BSR remap and some extra BSR badges then the last straw came when i ordered the BSR baseball cap and beanie. She now thinks i`m a complete fruitcake and is starting to get a little pi55ed off.She says i`m obsessed.I dare n`t even broach the subject of suspension
I realise that it`s just a small amount of modding compared to most but was just wandering how your wives/partners felt about it.

My missus had a go at me for spending £27.50 on siggy fog surrounds and a VXR insert, I said I got both of them for the price of one part, NO there ****ty pieces of plastic. I get it every time I mention the car, I'm still in the process of getting approval of a BSR stage 3, not because of money, but because it's for my car it's a waste of money. And I shouldnb't have bought a 2.0T I should have bought a diesel, I said I don't do enough miles to justify a diesel, but women know it all.

    TOP TIP: DON'T GET MARRIED

And to think my wife was right into cars at one point, but blames me for going on about cars too much and she hates modding now, you just can't win

Well for starters you are not obsessed, you are a Enthusiast so that clears that up
My wife is amazing at letting me have what i want, it takes a little time but there is not much that i have not been able to do to my car without any ear ache. Those little things like a box of chocolates or flowers help in keeping me in her good books. Anyway i have to go and hangout the washing then dish the dinner for the kids and finish that ironing i started this morning

My missus has gradually got more and more into the car scene. She enjoys the social side most (as those who were at the EOY bash last night may have noticed )

What's getting really scary is that her previous, "No you can't have a new exhaust system/spoiler/blah blah" has turned into, "I really like *Insert name* 's car, why don't you get one like that?"

Too true ,i did buy the diesel and really it`s the wrong car.Do n`t get me wrong i love everything about it apart from the fact thats it`s not as smooth or quiet as petrol but i only do about 8k a year.

I would like to change my car just now as I fancy something different. Either a VXR Astra or Vectra, but I get "theres nothing wrong with the car we've got" and "why do you want to waste more money on cars". I just cant win........ really peees me off
The missus doesnt see cars as a priority and as far as shes concerned they're for getting from A to B.

What you must do is to keep them sweet. I buy Larisa an item or present that she wants then I spend a fortune on myself so far I have got away with buying a lot of expensive things for myself, I decorated the longe then spent over £1500 on a camera for myself. Mind you it is not all expensive things for me she has wanted an electric piano for a number of years so I bought her one last christmas.
