Default Halfords Super Brilliance bulbs on BOGOFF

Went into Halfords because one of my side light/parking bulbs went.

I've been thinking of upgrading the headlight bulbs for a while and have seen good reviews on the Halfords Super Brilliance bulbs (plus 50%), there they were on BOGOFF for £19.99 each (think the H4's were £14.99) I thought previously that 40 quid for a pair was a bit steep so got both for 20 quid - happy chappy

I'll fit them later and see how they perform if they are OK i'll get another pair for the high beam.

Well they are in, was much easier than I expected - only took ten mins to fit

With the lights on I can see the lights shinning on the wall of our house, I couldn't with the old ones so hopefully they will be a good improvement in the dark later LOL

Well have just bought the same bulbs. At £22.99 per bulb its a little high but with the bogof it makes them a good cheap upgrade.I fitted them and did notice a difference straight away.A lot whiter and no yellow glow as with standard bulbs.I have just been out for a run on a few back roads and to be honest I am impressed how much better they are over the standard candles that were fitted. You dont get the blue light as they say but you do get a nice crisp white light on the road

I bought them a couple of weeks ago and, along with Duncan's height adjustment tip, they're soooooooo much better. Still lots of room for improvement though.

I've been looking for the thread but can't find it - basically you use the light level adjuster and adjust the headlights - so you swap level 2 for 0 and readjust so that you can go down the lanes with the lights slightly higher, but can readjust if necessary. I'm sure Duncan will be along shortly with a link to the thread.

If you cannot see properly with standard lights then its an optician thats required not brighter lights to blind everybody else.
