Default Vectra Dti to Signum 2.0t

Well i bought a 2.0 t Signum yesterday on an "04" plate, it has full history and is fitted with full factory Irmscher spec.

Have i done the right thing ???

I still have my Elite Dti at the moment and apart from here i have`nt advertised it anywhere else.

Ive done the diesel bit and tbh i don't think i benefit from running a diesel as i don't really do the miles, i travel 5 miles a day to school(drop kids off) then work and the same back.

I like the look of the siggy but i get a bit attached to my cars and like my vectra too...... oooh what a dilemma.

I was getting about 38 mpg around town in my vectra but i dont know what the siggys gonna do..........

Can any of you guys assure me that ive done the right thing...either way i can sell the one i dont want.

    A very confused ninja...

I think you have done the right thing.

If i could find a Mint Black Vectra 2.0T Pre-Facelift i would sell my 2.2DTi no probs..

If it helps mate I changed from a vectra cdti 150 to a vectra 2.0t and am glad I did. Love th smoothness of the 2.0t. If you do big miles then you cant beat a diesel and to be fair the cdti served me very, very well

You'll be alright with the Siggy. If your milage is that low then the drop to under 30mpg around town wont hurt.

lol Hammer it and watch the needle dive to the red, you'll get somewhere in the region of 30mpg if you behave, but then you have to ask yourself why did you buy a 2.0T. Go on hammer it, it's the only way

    You did!

I`ve just mentioned this very subject in another post.I`ve got the CDti 150 now with BSR remap and love most everything about it but even though i`ve never driven a 2.0 t if i could do it again i would go the petrol route.I only do about 8k a year which is not nearly enough to justify a diesel but i wanted the torque. Now i`ve got it i`m not sure because i can n`t boot it in second gear without spinning the fookin wheels. So what good is all that torque if you can n`t put it down?Do n`t get me wrong i know the 2.0t is quick but at least they have TC .So i think yes you did do the right thing

Cost me £3500 to change from a two-year old 1.8 to an 18-month old 2.0T Edition 100, and worth every penny. The 2.0T is quick, smooth and virtually lagless, and pulls effortlessly when you need it. If you are too fond of hammering it, you'll pay for it fuel economy wise, but for me it's a price worth paying, cos I don't do many miles. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and keep it there.

Oh, and if you want more, get a BSR remap. Much cheaper than getting a bigger-engined car, and even more smiles
