Can you not turn off each feed in turn to see which one fills and which one doesn't?

Is it hot and cold fill, are they single or double solenoid valves?
Short of taking each inlet pipe off in turn and operating each programme it is very difficult to pinpoint which one is not opening.
You can test the coils with a meter to see if they are ok, the same goes for the electrical supplies to each of them but again you will have to run through each programme. The machine uses different valves depending on whether you are on a pre-wash, rinse etc.........HTH

Is it the coil or the solenoid valve internals?

A simple continuity check of each coil will test those, using a multi meter (obviously you need to disconnect them aswell)

    EDIT :

Beaten to it..... by a mod aswell

it has a single hot valve, and a double cold valve, i suppose i could do a continuity check on each coil to make sure the loop is there

The coils just unclip and are dead easy to replace.

Not a lot, any decent plumbers merchant will stock them, just take the old one in with you.

Disclaimer :- The 'easily unclipped' comment relates to general washer solenoid valves and not complex, stupid, integrated or any other types that are not 'easily unclipped'
