    Exclamation WARNING - Tesco Fuels

    http://fronteraowners.co.uk/v-web/bu...ic.php?t=12326

Don't use their petrol or diesel for a while, not exactly sure what the problem is but their customer services are aware and investigating.

Just keep your receipt, Ben - apparently last time they were really good and forked out for any repairs needed as a result of their problems.

A Greenergy fuel depot suffered a fire last week
As a result several companies have run out of the additive for diesel
This has also resulted in a slight increase in the price of diesel

At the moment BP are restricting deliveries of diesel to 6,500 litre per tanker, except on bunker

I'm back in UK sometime monday and will check this out. My office will know if there really is a problem.

I would be very surprised indeed if it is anything like a repeat of the previous issuesand certainly not a nationside problem. Tesco source their fuel from all over the shop so any contamination will be limited to a region.

Greenergy are a fuel supply company; they don't make additives themselves but buy them in from the specialists for blending - same as some of the majors do. Tesco have a minority stake in Greenergy. Perhaps the additive shortage was confused with the Petroplus fire. Looking through the oil trade sites, there isn't a shortage of diesel itself since the winter USA stocking has finished and the Rotterdam spot market (where most if it comes from) is not tight on supply.

A lot of the stuff on the frontera forum is way misinformed and misleading - all fuel sold in UK whether bio or not must meet the specs of EN590 and EN228. Much of the fuel, wherever it is sold is exactly the same stuff, unless you go for V-power or similar, which is a really different blend.

Doesn't surprise me - I've avoided tesco fuels like the plague after the silicon contamination before. Steer clear of this junk, imo.
