    Question Fixing Sub Grille?

Right...this is kind of embarassing, seeing as I'm usually fairly handy at DIY and electrical stuff....

This is the grill I've bought to stop the puppy chewing my nice new subs It's honeycomb metal, with a rubber sleeve around the edge.

Now, the fixing supplied with the grille. There are 4 of these, but no instructions...

How on earth do I use that to fix the grille to the sub or box? Those teeth DON'T fit into the honeycomb of the grille, before anyone suggests it - I'm not that dumb!

I just can't see how, once I've got the sub fixed to the box, I can then mount the grille.

    Anyone?

Oh, I see. I think. Not very discreet, are they?

Might have to see what I can do that's a bit less 'bodgit & scarper'

    But thanks

We used to cut those teeth off as most of the time you'll find the bracket won't sit very well.
The other alternative was to hot glue the grill straight to the foam surround of the sub and so not using those nasty brackets at all.

Cheers, ben - might do that then. I know there's issues with silicone fumes and sub cones - I presume glue is OK?

The grille is exactly the same size as the sub though - If i did that I'd have to screw through the sub to get to the box.
