    Default Diagnostics/Fault code

Had a diagnostic check done yesterday at my local indy and the following was noted:

    Glow Plug Circuit B

Assuming the glow plugs need changed, i went to the factors who informed me that there are no glow plugs available for my car . Its an 04 3.0 V6 cdti. They checked Hella, Bosch, NGK etc. ie all the main m/facturers.

Can anyone advise what I need to do to get rid of this fault code?

I had my glow plug timing circuit changed under warranty about 6 months ago. Didn't affect the car's running in the slightest cos it was summer. I'd say swallow the bullet and take it to Vx

The chances are it will only be one faulty, you will probably find them cheaper than you think at a dealer.

I am assuming from your reply my car does indeed have glow plugs?? If so, are they a dealer only replacement? None of the big manufacturers seem to do after market variants.

I honestly though someone on here could help.

The glow plugs on common rail only come into extended operation when the outside temperature is extremely cold. It should not affect normal engine operation.
