    Default Centre Screen Brightness

You chaps will have the answer to this

I have just upgraded/downgraded from a Design to a SRI.

The problem I have is that the screen is a bit bright, I have the CD30 in this and the 40 is the design, which you could invert and alter the brightness.

Is this possible on the SRI with the CD30?

    thanks in advance

Never really noticed on mine but if you have one of the Four bottons on thr light switch that adjusts the dash lights that might dim the screen as well, as I say I have not noticed if mine has dimmed when I have adjusted the dash lights.

the sri screen is not switchable from neg to pos like the design , only real way you could dim it is a dab of tip ex on the led's and that means pulling the display apart , i find the sodding sidlight indication light and main beam light are too bright at night .

Yeah, that's another thing I have noticed...the dash lights are always on. So you think you have your lights on when you don't. Luckily I have not been caught out yet. But as dusk it could be a issue.

I assume when you say pull the display apart. You mean remove the trim and remove the screen wioth the vents, then hoyk the screen out?

I can adjust mine in the settings. You can have it on NEG, Poss or auto and then you can adjust the brightness.

Depends on the year rushy , if its a new one it will have the 3 line display which you can read from 100 miles away ...

    deathstar ,
yep its a remove the screen and take it apart , ive done the tip ex thing a couple of times on pioneer stereos for mates , they are very distracting at night , its a bit trial and error but it works .
