    Default Off the shelf exhaust?

Had a trawl through previous posts and can't find anyone who's fitted a performance exhaust that wasn't 'hand built', such as Powerflow. Does anyone do an off the shelf cat-back for a 1.9 CDTI (Non DPF) Veccy?

Had a Powerflow on a previous car, so not adverse to using them. Just after something more discreet - and quiet!! (I do a lot of motorway miles)

Try Jetex , I had one years ago on a Cavalier, a few db up on a standard exhaust and very good quality,

I think they do them for the CDTI ?

If its the sound you're worried about, any decent exhaust place should be able to tune your new system to make as much or as little noise as you want. And with the range of tailpipes available, you can make it look factory fit if you like.

I've never seen an off-the-shelf system sold, but I bet if you do, the price difference wouldn't justify buying it. For reference, my custom built cat-back twin exit cost £430 with a lifetime warranty.

Just to make you weep, my first Powerflow exhaust - few years back now! - cost £550, which included removing the existing exhaust complete from engine, installing a new four branch tubular manifold, fabricating a complete new system to my specified dimensions, including a race cat & wiring in the relocated HEGO sensor. Bargain! That released over 20bhp form a 1.8 NA petrol. Just goes to show how evil close coupled cats are!

Oh well, looks like a trip to powerflow may be in order. Any recommendations for the York area?
