    Default air box & filter

    Just started my first mod, been and ordered a k&n filter and I am going to do the air box mod. will this give any gains in bhp? will it sound louder?(2.0turbo)

    any tips?

    Also just want to add a big thanks to every one here, great forums with a shi2 load of knowledgeable, helpful people and I look forward to the day I can help some of you guys out.

    Well mate the K&N will make a louder sound on high revs....as for the BHP increasse will not be noticeable (if any) IMO
    On the other hand if the engine breaths easier the car will feel a little more responsive and lighter

    If your after induction roar you've bought the wrong motor as you will not get one on 2.0t just an annoying sssshhhhhhhhhhhhsssssshh noise inside the car.

    the bsr is a little plug in box that remaps the 2.0T...that gives around 25 to 30 extra bhp........beauty of it is you can reset to factory settings any time you like,,,,,,,,,,it will only work on the car it was set up for..

    Ah, computer jiggery pokery, sorry , I remember distributor caps, plugs & points etc.............I aint as young as you lot!.plus I only got a 1.8.
