    Default Murphy And His laws!

Been unemployed now for about a month after leaving my job of 11 years with no sign of any offshore work coming up.

Finally decided to get off my backside and went to see a local, small hotel and see if they had anything going. Started this morning as head chef, finished at half 2 and was going to be back in for 5.

Got home, had a call from another company offering a start on Monday as a delivery driver!

So, head chef working split shifts 5 days a week with no chance of a weekend off for ages and having to work the Christmas eve, day and boxing day etc etc or driving all day, slightly longer hours, better money, weekends and nights off etc?! What would you choose?!

Chef - 10-2 (sometimes 2.30) then back in at 5 til about 9.30, 5 days a week, no weekends off.

Driving, Monday - Friday, 8-7 (usually home by 6), optional Saturdays and £3k a year more!

Not ideal but at least I will have a social life, more so around Christmas time!
