Was it the Caterman??

Last week the vectra (1.9 Sri CDTI 150) lost all power and seemed to be miss-firing, the spanner light came on as did the engine management light. Anyway, I thought it may be the Caterman so I therefore disconnected it and tried the car without it, still the same. So I carried onto work very carefully with the car only just managing to run, removed the caterman and took the vehicle to the local VX dealer. Had a phone call on Friday diagnosing the problem as a fault in the ECU wiring loom, luckily enough the warranty doesn't expire until May next year so it was covered. Picked the car up yesterday and all seems fine now, they had to replace the complete ECU wiring loom, which I expect could have been expensive had I had to pay.

My dilemma now is do I put the caterman back on or just leave it as it is.

The tuning box wouldn't of caused that matey, for sure. All it does is ask for increased pressure in the fuel rail.
