don't say that Ian - otherwise the speed limit will be dropped to 50mph!
doesn't your post above just prove that no matter at what speed you are travelling at you can potentially die in an accident??

Actually it was down to an AC Cobra doing something like 160mph in the 60's
But I agree speeding is wrong, we ALL do it, including coppers in marked cars around town, as I have followed loads of them doing 35-40in a 30 limit with no lights on etc.
Still there are some knob jockys driving around who just don't know how to drive, pulling out in front of a speeder is stupid as if you had hit them it could have resulted in the death of everyone involved and maybe some who wern't...
Oh, SLOW DOWN!
Would any of you lot pull out in front of a car that was travelling faster than you on a Dual Carriageway, in an attempt to slow it down??
No I wouldn't. But it has happened to me on more than a few occassions, but I believe that it was down to stupitity more than any thing else. Oh and I was not speeding at those times, although I have to say I do like to "clear out the cobwebs" on ocassions, when the road is clear at night in the middle of no where etc. I do believe that we have all broken the limit at some time in our lives and to say otherwise would be economical with the truth. Remember even 5 miles an hour over the limit in a modern quiet car is very easy to do. There for I would suggest that we are no more guilty then the big man in that respect. Oh and while I'm on - at the head of every traffic tailback is a women driver!! at least thats how its looked this last couple of weeks. Dark nights and the speed drops from 50 on a motorway to 35 mph. Now get onto me for that if you like but its more true than not!!
