    Default Ferry companies??

Were going to a wedding in Northern Ireland next year and i have started looking at ferries companies. With it being years since i have sailed across the irish sea im wondering what company offers the best deals and when is the best time to book -early or late

She wants to fly but i fancy taking the car so i can get the golf clubs inand possibly do a bit of sightseeing

    Cheers in advance guy's

I looked recently to go to Dublin, and it was very much cheaper to fly - even for 4 people..

    Thumbs up ferries

just keep a check on the ferries as they change and offer deals regularly, I lived in scotland for 20years before moving back home and took the ferries regularly.Depending where you are coming from Troon is the shortest driving distance but longest ferries time. Also some ferries go to Larne and some to Belfast depends where you are going to in Ireland. you can usually save 10% onlne

Only ever went from stranrear on the HSS, but family preferred to go to larn from troon or cairnryan with P&O.

I think P&O might be the cheaper option.

Another thing to keep in mind if you regularly use tesco's, you can use the tesco vouchers to pay for the ferry, but the great thing is that you get 4 times the cash value of the vouchers, ie we had 17.50 worth of vouchers and got 70 quid off our ferry.

You can use them with P&O and Stena. Just go to the tesco clubcard website and there's all the details there.

I ago over about four - fives times a year to see friends and they do the same.

They have been on the boat once and it took 9 hours and cost more than an easy jet flight.

You might be better booking a flight, hire a car and book your clubs on the flight.

None of the boats to Scotland are cheap, unfortunately. The HSS is obviously the fastest, but damn it's not cheap.

Personally I prefer the overnight boats from Belfast to Liverpool (Norse Irish) - but that's no good for you though.

I have just had a look online and the troon to belfast route is around £260 for 2 pasengers and 1 car for a long weekend, certainly not to be confused with cheap
