    Eek my brother's audi's costs

Talked to my brother today and he was telling me he just had work done on his 53 plate Audi A6 2.5TD. mot, 60k service with cambelt change, 2 front disks and pads and 1 wheel bearing at a independent audi garage.
    Grand total.

    1100 Quid.

OMG i'd have had a heart attack.

yep, they are a right swine..even when you've slid the front panel/x member assy forward, it's still tight to get your hands in..

Not wanting to black hat you but mate at work has a Porsche Boxster S, just had a major service(not Cambelt), 2 back tyres and new front discs & pads..
    .
    .
    .
    £2400.00

Labour charges over £100 an hour!!
Apparently the rear tyres on a boxster S are a specific size and are almost unique to the Boxster S so replacement rear tyres are EXPENSIVE!

Note to self: Don't buy a Boxster
Second note to self: try and get enough money to be able to afford not to buy a Boxster

I guess that those that can afford to buy can also afford to fix, but how the dealers can justify some of these charges, I really don't know. And the coffee in the local Porsche dealership is actually worse than the VX garage next door!
