Astra Steel rims

As winter is fast approaching (or here already)

Have any of you considered to switching to steelies with thinner profile tyres for the winter to improve traction and save your alloys from the harshness of grit and salt?

Well, hopefully you have as I have a set of 4 4-stud steel rims (Vaux standard - is it pcd 100?), ET49, with 4 astra wheeltrims with 175/70/14 rubber.

I think they are all Michelin Energy tyres and all have over 5mm of tread left, not checked, these have been off the car for over a year.

Can deliver to Norwich and all stops to Peterborough - so if you are in Liecester/Midlands - its not far to meet up.

£35 the lot!!

Its a good idea mate.... I see several flaws:

1. All Vec-c's are 5 stud?!
2. PCD on 5 stud Vx's is 110?!
3. Dont think youll get 14's over any of our brake kit!?!!!

I am considering doing this kind of thing though, just need to find a decent set of 16" steelies!!

LOL... glad you got them sold matey... I did have a word with a mate of mine, he runs a Nova rally car, and is always after spare rims, he declined the offer on account of not wanting to travel to Yarmouth!!
