Bulbs? whats the problem?

my bulbs seem ok on my 06 1.8, is it a particular model / year that has dodgy bulbs?

seen a few threads with people saying headlight design poor, yet mine seems o.k.? is it a different model? mines a 1.8 on an 06 plate....

It was more the pre-facelift headlight design - it had an abrupt cut-off so didn't illuminate as far down the road as you'd like.

My 07 plate 1.8 headlights are just fine.They illuminate the road perfectly.No complaints here

As Duncan has said, the pre-facelift headlights were shocking. I replaced the bulbs with Osram Silverstars and that improved things a bit. My facelift Signum lights were much better and didn't need to be upgraded

That explains a lot then.....my 54 plate...the lights were worse than rubbish...my new 57 do seem a lot better. I can see more than 3 feet in front off me!

well i just wish evryone drove preface lift veccies ,then i wouldn,t be blinded by so many high beam lights lol
