Default Horrific find on 19" Wheels!!!!!

just been reading a thread on another forum and was surprised to read about problems some people are having with 19" wheels on the VXR Range,

Advise to everyone who owns a set of 19" Vauxhall rims, check immediately for cracks on the inner wall of alloy (the bit the tyre sits into

I think this issue has been raised on here before..

Am i right in thinking Vauxhall dont believe there is a fault with the wheels, even though so many have cracked/are cracking. Its shocking thoughthat they crack, you'd expect better from them.

Isnt it Speedline or Ronal who make the VXR rims??

Ahh sorry i thought i'd post it here cause i just saw it myself
Its Speedline that makes the Snowflakes so i think they make the VXR wheels as well

I read that vauxhall said something like the wheels have to be changed every 18months or something like that

From a post in that VXRonline thread...
Happened to notice a crack on my front wheel as well - mine is a vxr december 05. 8Jx19H2ET43, "RONAL", made in poland, batch numbers 1501, S17, 13217323, H3, III 05.

I would doubt severely that Vx would make a statement like that! - that the wheels only lasted 18 months. They'd have a huge number of claims from people arguing that they weren't 'fit for purpose'.

Yep, that was it. He said at this rate - the mileage he had covered - he would be changing them every 18 months.

Well my plans are to change all my wheels to 18 inch 888 Race Alloys... and use the VXR alloys for summer use.

They take too much of a bashing during winter with the pot holes etc..

Matt said to me today (Maverick) that once I use the 888 Race Alloys, I won't want to go back to the 19" VXR ones....
