Default Wonder of technology? My a**

Bought a printer / scanner / fax / copier all in one the other day, to replace a Hewlett Packard one that had broken. HP wanted £123 just to look at it, so went and bought a new "Brother" one for a tonne. Just gone to install it, USB cable missing.

Tomorrow, when I got to PC world, one of two things will happen:

    1) Sorry about that Sir, here is one.
    2) You have to buy them seperatly, give us 15 quid now.

Anyone gonna hazard a guess??? I'm getting myself worked up because I KNOW its option 2 and I'm going to have to cause a scene. Its all on my company credit card becuase I work from home but to me the principle is the same and I wont pay for a USB. Thats like getting a car with no wheels.

As Suj said, most printer manufacturers don't include USB cables. Check the contents listing to make sure.

And don't pay £15 for a (Belkin or whatever) USB cable - that's such a rip off. You can use a five quid one and it will work just as well.

Well, it was PC Worlds lucky day, because I woke up this morning feeling all peace and love, must have been a good nights sleep, or something.. So I walked in, picked one up for £10, walked out. That was it. Decided not to ruin my sunday, and live by my motto:

God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.

Well done mate, it's not worth going ballistic over a cable, you are right about spoiling your Sunday.
