I'm a Bridgestone man myself, I like the road holding and long wear of them, the only ones I would consider switching to are Michelin in the premium bracket, I used to run cheap tyres but when you odds it up for safety alone another £100 a set is a no brainer, mid range I would go for Firestone or Hankook, again both offer a good quality level.

I've just replaced the factory fit Bridgestone ER30s with ER300s. They last a long time and have won a number of comparative tyre tests this year - they score particularly well on handling/braking in the wet in these tests.

I know that some people have complained about road noise with these tyres and on some surfaces they can be a little noisy but I'd rather stay on the road when it's wet!
