    Thumbs up Saab/vauxhall tuner

    http://www.saabflight.co.uk/
if you want to get some more power from your vectra that has a saab engine in it give this guy a call the work was done better then some other company did when the 93went down to them also he says you can get a lot of power out of the 2.0 turbo lump with a few mods

at the end of the day a vectra is a saab under the skin

worth a try if you want to go for a Remap

Am I not right in saying that 'Trionic' tuning of Saabs, mentioned on the Saabflight website, is effectively equivalent to what is offered by BSR with their PPC Remaps which take the Vectra 2.0T to 200+ bhp from astandard 173bhp? IIRC 'Trionic' tuning of Saabs is mentioned/covered in the BSR PPC manual.

Trionic is not a type of tuning, it's simply the type/name of engine management system in the car. In ours it's (Bosch) Trionic 8 - same as in the Saab 9-3SS.

Nice subtle plug for that company there Danny!

Is it not the other way round? A bunch of hoses etc. have Saab stamped on them - or is it just the turbo related stuff that has come from them?

Their Areo hot model has a mitsi turbo. The Z20net engine is derrived from the Z22se I think
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Well it uses the Z22se which is from GM. I suppose it's a bit of both really. Can anyone actually say who's engine it is? Who used it first? IE saab or VX

Yep, it's derived from the Z22SE, but we were wondering who developed the Z20NET as such. Did Saab take the Z22SE and do the turbo and engine work to make it a Z20NET, or was it Vx?

I thought it would have been Saab - given their long expertise with turbo charging I would have thought they developed it and used it first - but I don't know for sure!

Yep, we knew that, but we were trying to work out who - Vx or Saab - were the main developers of the Z20NET and first to use it.
