while doing my brakes today, i lifted the bonnet to check the brake fluid and noticed these strange little circular things on the engine, now i know i dont have any pics yet, but you can guess how black my hands were with brake dust so i wasnt about to get my camera ruined

    its on the V6 diesel
front of the car on the left side of the engine
3 metal pipes, 1 larger than the other 2
the pipes are standing over each other
there are black plastic split circles

the top one i assumed just clipped into the plastic casement on the metal pipe

the 2 smaller ones just kept popping back out

any ideas or do i need to put a pic on here for further headscratching?

Sounds like the air-con pipes to me, that would explain the black split-circle bits.

bit longer than 5 mins but its finally here

the top pipe had 1 fitted and went on quite easily, the middle pipe has 2 on and dont want to go in, im guessing that 1 should be on the lower pipe

    Fuel lines...thats what they are....

don't worry about the black split rings, they always fall out of the fuel connectors...not a problem at all..
