We didnt have any lag.... it was traction control killing my engine revs. The start line was 'gloopy' which made the wheels spin about 3 feet past the start line. The wheels would spin up, traction control kicked in and I had to 'nurse' it through the 2 foot 'gloopy' patch

I was getting the hang of it by the 2nd run... but it got me again on the 3rd run... .... but everyone else was having the same problem so

I had a similar problem when i went last year. The first run i took traction control off and nothing happend but wheel spin so the second and third time i left the tc switched on and it was alot better but there is a fine art to getting off the line.

Silly question here and if someone may have already asked,, how come Nutron was only a few ms faster when he had dumpped all that weight ?? seats, wheels, fixtures and fittings etc ,

Why not do a like for like runs , same weight extra in both cars

    Because Nutron hates to lose!!!

He will try to win at all costs!

Hmmm.... well where do I start.

Although Nutrons car beat my car down the strip... considering it has 40 BHP more than mine and an extra 30 lbft Torque (at the wheels !!!) AND around 80-100 KG less weight... I dont think Nutron was entirely happy with the fairly small gap that seperated us.

Although his car is definately quicker than mine, as it clawed back a car length from the start AND overtook me at the finish line... it still only adds up to half a second....

Now Nutrons car is almost 'bursting' at the seams with power. So I either need to make my car more powerful or lighter to shorten the gap even further.

I dont think I want to make it much more powerful (Although I am looking at something at the moment). and I cant see how I can make the car much lighter.... so thats that for me now...
