    Eek mod half way done

    hi all
    well the leather back seats are in and passager front seat but have a shreaded head on the screw on the drivers side, its now to dark to carry on theres always one bl**dy one will have to drill it out tomorrow just hope i do it will out damaging the tread.
    post pics when complete.

    You can buy a tool for that mate. It has a coarse reverse thread, you drill a pilot first and then screw it in. As the thread is reverse eventually it will start to unscrew the broken star drive head. HTH

    What rushy was describing is a stud extractor and it is how you are going to get the remaining bolt out.
    Drill a hole in the remaining bit of bolt thread and insert the stud extractor. They have a left hand thread so as you unscrew it, it forces its way into the bolt and hopefully should remove it! A good soaking with WD40 helps too.
    Otherwise drill the bolt out, re-tap it then fit a new bolt

    Done that a few times but if it's tight you can snap the head off (if it has not already snapped off)
