    Default Oil level sensor ?

    Hi guys,

    Where about's is the oil level sensor on a vec c 2.2 ?

    Looks like it's just underneath the oil filter housing. There's two sensors there. One is the crank sensor. The bigger one on the left looks like an oil pressure switch.

    The dip stick is also wrongly marked on the 2.2's if I remember rightly. Its about half a litre out.

    Oil capacity was originally stated as 5 litres, but changed to 4.75 liters, so the min/max marks on the dipstick are a bit out.

    I can never use the dipstick properly on that engine anyway just never seems to work for me.

    The garage changed my dipstick on my previous Vectra as it was too long because it still showed above the min line when the oil low level warning came on.

    level sensor is in the side of the sump...about 4" up from the bottom..

    Can anyone tell me where the oil level sensor is on the 1.9 cdti 150 bhp engine think i've got a faulty one .

    I'm sure some of the vectras have the sensor inside the sump, so replacing the sensor means removing the sump.
