    Default How do I ...

... remove the driver's side under-dash trim panel?

I'm trying to fit a car-kit and need to run some cabling.

I'm almost there, but the lighting switch is stopping me from getting to the last screw. I can see the switch pushes back, but I can't get it back far enough.

    Help!

    Thanks

Turn the lights to the off position.
Push the knob in (it pushes back).
Whilst keeping the knob pushed in, turn it to the sidlelights position. The while unit will be released (and will shoot back as you are applying force).
Grip the edges of the knob and pull the unit forward and it will come out of the dash.
You'll then see the last screw above where the unit was.

If you're taking the whole trim out, you'll want to unplug the unit so you can get the trim out. It's just a simple lever action conection on the back to release the cable.
