    Default error lights

got a problem on the car..only started two days ago but when i start the car, the ABS and traction control light stay on for about 10 seconds then they go out. after about 2 mins they come back on and stay on.
I have checked if the traction control is really off and it is.
I know i can still drive the car but but uneasy about it. Dont know if this is related but the warning light flashed on for the radiator water (checked and ok) and once the engine oil light came on (checked and ok)
Good job i have a warranty with the car!
only mod been done in last couple of weeks is fit the 302mm brakes and calipers, wich i had to slightly bend the metal around the ball joint cos it was rubbing against the disk. have i done anything wrong?
    F'ing car!

Sounds like you have damaged the wire to the brake sensor m8 Get it replaced, it's not that expensive from the stealers

Wouldn't that have just brought up the brake pad message in the info display though? I don't recall it bringing up the TC/ABS light.

I'm sure i read somewhere that the brake sensor lead can throw up all sorts of errors if it is damaged
I might be mistaken though................it has been known

the brake pad sensor wire attaches into the brake pad itself... but cant see this being the cause of ABS/TC problems.. more like one of the sensors on the hubs may be damaged? The ABS has its sensors built into a ring on the hub itself i believe.. all the pad wire would do would bring up a pad warning light depending on which type of infotainment unit u have fitted.

He's talking cobblers I'm afraid! I had the brake pad wear sensor fitted when they were on my car. The wire is only connected to the passenger side caliper.

    That's what I was wondering!
