He joined McClaren this season on a three-year contract worth a total of 50 million euros (£34.7m). I understand he has left with no financial penalty for breaking the contract which means he earned for one years driving 34.7 million squidgers.
Thats £667,307 per week!!!

My understanding was that the contract was mutually cancelled and therefore the poor little soul only got paid a third of that. Poor lamb, how will he survive?

yep got paid 1 year so only got a third of his contract, and apparently he was sacked (told to leave or they would take him to court for breach of contract).
