On Wednesday evening i got home from work went to lock the car and the doors wouldn`t lock .On further analysis the little car light on the dash board wash showing that the car door was still open even though the car door was shut.
Ok ............problem with the sensor i would presume.
Rang the insurance company(Adrian Flux) for advice seeing as the car was insecure.They told me that i needed to get the car into the dealers as soon as possible to get the problem rectified because i wasn`t covered on the insurance.
Ok.......... rang and took the car down,they did Tech2 for faults and weren`t sure so they needed to give me a courtesy car and do further tests.
No problems so far.
They rang my wife this morning and told her that the car was fixed .Problem with door switch all sorted now.
Clare went down there today gave courtesy car back,and paid them for tech 2 and 1hr 30 mins labour £168. Ok a bit steep but will have to live with it.
Clare is then told the door latch might need replacing soon.Clare says how soon ? not for a while should be ok.Clare then leaves.
Goes over to the supermarket and parks up,tries to lock the car,oh deer the F8cking car dos'nt lockShe gets back in the car goes back to the dealers and tells them the problem.
They say ok we will have to order the door latch none in at the mo.With parts and labour that will be £170.
At this point my wife is in tears and she has me on the phone.
Why is it that Dealers have to be real ********s i can't believe these people.
Anyway i spoke to Clare ,comforted her and told her to tell them i wanted the car done today and i don't care how just get it done and i suggested to them that they rang the other dealership in the area and get the part off them.they did this made Clare go and get the part and they fitted it to the car for £170 **** taking barstards wouldn`t give Clare the car back until it was paid in full after i said to her i would refuse to pay the labour
cost seeing as they ****ed up.
All i can say is Drive Vauxhall in Leicester watch out I'm going to trading standards and they will be recieving a letter of complaint too !!!!!!!
