Default talk me into bsring my 2.0t

loving the new 2.0t, few questions though

Will a bsr stage one remap mess with my warranty?
will it be much faster i.e what will 0-60 times be?
    will it affect reliability?

and anymore info anyone think might be relevant?

    Many thanks to all.

It will invalidate the warranty yes But, with the bsr units, you can restore your map to standard any time you like, so some cunning steps can be taken if needs be
The car will be significantly quicker throughout the rev range
Durability... well all tuned cars aren't going to be as reliable as the standard motor unfortunately. It's not a huge hike in power, so you'd be unlucky to run into problems imo.
Just my opinions here from what I've gathered, don't own a 2.0T myself.
I'd say the map would be well worth it, very nice boost in performance.

Warranty will be fine mate, as above, just return it to standard when it goes into dealer, they will never know.

Only if it could be shown to be directly attributable to a problem on the car, but as above just return the car to standard before it goes into the dealers for anything.

The Stage 1 knocks around a second off the 0-60. Brings it to a smidge over 7 secs from 8.1. But it's not so much the 0-60 you'll see the difference, it's in the mid-range - the difference it makes there is very noticeable!

As above, any tuning of an engine may ultimately reduce, long term, the life of an engine but will be minimised if you look after it. I'd suggest oil/filter changes at 10K to keep it all clean and look after the turbo. I ran a Stage 1 for over 2.5 years (over 40,000 miles) without a hitch - now running Stage 3.

I would endorse everything that has been said. My BSR Stage 1 remapped 2.0T exceeded my expectations and BSR's own figures, and was Rolling Roaded in September; my signature says it all. Other than being remapped my car is totally standard except for the grille and aerial, and is running on the standard sports suspension and exhaust system. In-gear performance is awesome, and fuel economy is as was, as far as I can tell.
