    Eek HELP! Dangerous cornering!!!!!!

    :eek
Over the past week my Signum has started suddenly pulling to the right when i turn right at speeds above 40mph. cornering left is fine, its only right turns.

full lock right is ok, full lock left is ok.

It happens most when im banking right down on a slip road to join a motorway and accelerating. its like someone pulls sharp right on the steering wheel?

The worse thing is when i correct the steering i could/ have over compensated and almost lost control, snaking down the M20 like a fool!

It is getting worse, and the problem is i can do over 2000 miles a week so what ever it is i need to sort it quick.

I have read the other related posts and come up with anti roll bushes? and something about a spring mod?

I took it to ATS and they couldnt find the problem? but said its probably a worn bush or mount?

Any help or advise will be gratefully received.

    Cheers Woodsta

Does sound alarming - get all the bushes and links checked ASAP I would think!

Have you looked closely at the front suspension springs? - you may have one that's broken and it isn't always obvious with a brief glance.

The fact that it only happens above a certain speed, and it only happens one way makes me think thats it's an electrical fault rather than a suspension fault.. if the suspension has been checked out and it's fine then i wonder if it's to do with the speed sensing and the steering angle sensing..

Before you travel too far, drop into somewhere with a code reader that does live data to see what readings are being given and if there is either an error code or strange readings being generated...

if it was suspension, it would always pull...the fact it snatches right makes me think the pump is being 'told' to up the pressure....

    Eek

Ok, FG Barnes VX agreed to have a look today, and the problem is with my N/S/F lower ball joint/ wishbone arm.

I dont know how Mr ATS missed it, you can hold the front wheel and move it side to side by about an inch!!!

To make matters worse VX didnt stock the part and couldnt get me one until Tuesday! @ £165.00 + VAT Just for the part.

So I tracked one down at VX in Bromley and they only have 1. So I tried my local motor factors who can get me one today before 5pm for £105.00 all in.

Looking at replacing it myself looks easy enough. But VX made me sign a disclamer as the car was Un Roadworthy and dangerous to drive! Fair play, it was.

Managed to get home safely now waiting for the part to arrive.

Just looked on flee bay, i can get one for £62.98!! I could do both sides for £125.96!!! I will probably order one for the RHS, as i have done 95000 miles and if ones gone the other is definatly going.

I will hopefully do it tonight, i might even get the camera out for a how 2.

    Thanks for all your help.

Ok, the b joint was knackered, only takes about an hour to fit the wishbone, as its so bad i will replace the other side tomor and do the how 2 its very easy!
once the other side is done i will get the tracking done.

whilst im under the car does anyone have the item number for the anti roll bar bushes?

    Cheers
    Woodsta
