Default anyone tried the +90% bulbs yet?

    Osram Nightbreaker:

"The ideal lamp for drivers who want to drive with more light for greater safety.
Thanks to a newly-developed high output coil and the blue ring coating, the headlight lamps of the NIGHT BREAKER product family
    • shine up to 90% more light on the street*
    • put out up to 10% whiter light*
*compared to standard lamps on the market "

I've tried several of the 'expensive' + bulbs from Osram and philips mate, and in the Vectra I really don't tink they make any differene because the design of the headlights is so poor... AFL for me next time...

These upgraded bulbs are much better if the aim is adjusted slightly - problem is the normal (default) aim is rubbish - Dont adjust to much though else it will be an MOT failure

I used - and am infact still using in my BMW, the Philips Ultra Blue and think they are much much better than standard

I have the 'non-AFL' Xenon headlights, and planning to upgrade the H7 full beams from Philips DiamondVision to Osram Nightbreaker... The DV's are cool but the light output is poor. Headlights are adjusted properly, so I think I could gain some improvement with +80%/+90% bulbs....

I am currently using the Phillips +80% ones which I fitted about 8 weeks or so ago. At first they seemed an improvement but are no better on those really dark country roads. I was coming down the A31 from Guildford on Tuesday evening, which I haven't been down for a while and the light put out by the headlamps was nothing short of dangerous at times. I had to really slow down in points because it just did not light up enough of the road, even when adjusting the levelling switch.

In fairness though, it's not the bulbs, just the useless headlights. I thought the headlights on my Rover 75 were bad, but they were nowhere near as bad as these.

I think the best bulbs I have used before were the extreme white ones by www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk

well i have just fitted the easy one (nearside) and i can tell a slight difference in the whiteness.
I will see if i can take a photo so you can see the difference from the standard one.
I have also adjusted the angle of the headlight using the allen key method by 1.5 turns up so i will see if anybody flashes me tonight.
The more tricky offside will have yo wait for daylight in the morning... and probably the afternoon

passenger side one, i found quite easy to do tbh, unless your hands have homersimpson syndrom just twist the screen washer bottle neck off and theres enough room to get to the bulb, side light ones a ****** on it though,
i done the passenger side dipped and sidelight in about 10 mins with the drivers side ones taking about 20-30 mins, which was removing/refitting the airbox and trying to get a dropped screwdriver back ops:
