Its actually easier than you'd expect. When all the other traffic is on the right too, you just sort of fall into it. Roundabouts are a bit awkward but again, you soon get used to it.

The hardest thing is trying to overtake - because you're on the wrong side of the road, you can't see a flipping thing.

But the roads are empty compared to the UK, and an absolute pleasure to drive

The only thing I would say is make sure that everyone has a Sat Nav of some sort or in car radios of some sort because with the best will in the world, we will get split up - last time a group ended going up through Belgium and the Netherlands before getting into Germany near Cologne and we ended up going through Belgium, Luxemberg and the Netherlands and entered Germany further south.

    'Tis good fun through!

You will be surprised how easy it is to drive on the right, by the time your in Belgium, you will have wondered what all the fuss is about.

Thanks for all your replys guys especially Spoons (lol Knew there had to be one to take the pi$$). Could do with some more detailed details (don't ask for much do I). You know like everything. See list below.

Ferry times/costs (never took the car on a ferry before, another new experience)?
Where we're meeting before the ferry?
Time it takes to get there?
Are we driving France to Irmscher non stop or stopping some where over night?
    Short stay or Long stay.

I may of missed something off my list.

Oh yeah almost forgot this one.

Do we get plenty of time to recover from these.

    Cheers Pugster

    Tip 1.

    Keep right.

    Tip 2.

Relax, as you come off the ferry, you are 'thrown' to the right anyway!

    Tip 3.

Relax, it's much the same as driving in the outside lane of a dual carriageway!

    Tip 4.

Relax, There'll be more than just 3.2's going, no-one is going to be left behind. It just won't be allowed to happen.

    Tip 5.

Start saving your pennies, it's going to be a belter!

Pugster don't worry yourself mate. If you worry you will be a danger to yourself. It will all come naturally, you wont even know it's happening if you don't worry about it.
I drive more on the 'wrong' side of the road in my work than i do on British roads. Trust me it's natural.

Only five and half month to go.

Its harder to come back to the UK and drive on the right after a week away! Believe me, many a time i have come off the boat late on a Saturday night and had to remind myself to drive on the left!!

Its so much more natural to drive on the right, well i think so anyway.
