    Default 2008 Irmscher trip - we're off!!!

OK, as you can see we have the 2008 events section and Irmscher trip sub-section added, so all discussions for the trip can now be in the right place.

Following on from the hugely successful trip this year, next year's should be even bigger and better!!

We have Mark the Cabby and Ian C on board organising the trip, and they may well be asking people going on the trip to help out with bits 'n' pieces here and there.

Due to my bit of news, I obviously won't be going on this year's trip I think if I disappeared off to Germany a week before the baby was due I'd be a dead man!! - so I won't be involved as much in the behind the scenes stuff like I was last year, and obviously I won't be there on the ground helping and sorting stuff like I did last year - so no pressure Mark and Ian!! I'm sure, correction - I know! , Mark learnt a lot from this year's trip that he will use in the planning of next year.
I'll still be doing some behind the scenes to help - like setting up PayPal pages etc. and Mark and Ian will be liaising with Graeme and myself on all the aspects of the trip. Graeme may also be on the trip - work dependent.

So that's it really - you'll see more info appear in due course, primarily from Mark and Ian, who now have the ball and are running with it - well Cabby walking at a fast pace 'cos Cabby don't do running!!

Hope everyone has a great time and I'm not envious in the slightest that I'm missing it this time. No really, I'm not........ Well, at least I'm missing it for a somewhat more important reason!

Great news things are moving along. Sorry to hear your not attending Duncan would have been great to meet you. But obviously you need to very close to hand at home. Maybe we will meet later somewhere. You will never regret the moment it happens.
So Mark the Cabby is really James May in disguise. I don't do running on camera. LOL
I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who put's so much time into organising these trips. And i'm looking forward to meeting a lot more of the members.
So now it's just waiting for the next 6 month to pass until the miles are put on the signum for a great European tour.
    I'm looking forward to it.
    Great work guys.

The Pup will hopefully be 1 month old by then. IF all's going well and him and Shaz are doing fine, I'm allowed to play, will have to give a definate answer nearer the time!!

    Default Driving abroad

Been thinking about this tripped. And would really like to come along. One thing that worries me is driving on the other side of the channel. Having never driven abroad does anyone have any tips. Also just used Autoroute to get some idea of distance and time for the trip and with the result 667.5 miles taking 1day and 3 hours. I'd better nip down to Costco for a pallet of Red Bull.

Oh and another concern is will my humble 1.8 Ls be able to keep up with the mighty 3.2's V6's TD etc etc.
