I'm about as cack-handed as they come, and checked on this forum to see how to change the rear hatch struts. They were getting weaker and weaker and I kept getting hit on the head by the hatch as it came down of its own accord. So to avoid further brain damage, I bit the bullet. Talk about easy. Just make sure the struts are fully extended and the hatch is propped fully open, do one side at a time, prise off the old struts (top first then the bottom comes off easily) and snap on the new ones. £51 a pair retail inc. VAT . 5 minutes tops.....piece of ****. .

Pollen filter - I've already done that. But only when I realised that the slits cut in the rubber scuttle cover were supposed to be there and not some ham-fisted dealer way of gaining access to the drain under the pollen filter.

Cambelt - I have a cam chain - you'd need keyhole surgery to access that - but it was replaced 8 months ago - Phew!!

I don't wish to exceed my capabilities. Changing light bulbs is enough of a challenge, believe me.
