New headunit

Thinking of getting a new headunit in my Vec so I can use my new iPod properly. I'd like a touchscreen double DIN unit but not sure the budget will stretch, so thinking of a single DIN with a foldout screen.

Every single DIN unit I've seen in a vec is mounted in the top of the slot, using one of the fascias with a cubby hole underneath. This would mean the folding screen coming out and sliding up to cover my current display/trip computer.

How have people got around this? Is if possible to get a fascia adaptor which allows the unit to be mounted in the bottom of the slot?

As far as I'm aware the single din fascia adaptors all have the opening at the top. As for head units double dins and flip outs are generally the same prices, check out caraudiodirect.co.uk and caraudiosecurity.com for decent units.
