Default anyone else on their second EGR valve???

as the title, my vec got taken ill again at the begining of last week, serious loss of power but no lights on very difficult to drive and pull away from anything.

Took it into the main dealers where a fault code came up with a leak detected in the vacuum system, so the car went in today they have aparently spent most of the day on it only to find the EGR valve has gone again, its only been on there a few months! aparently its jammed open?

anyone else had a second one fitted? i have no tuning box on the car so its not being over worked!

Third according to the dealer not a Vx one though, Skoooodah, original U/S "replaced" , yeah right, cleaned more like, and then third time around finally either replaced or tech'd off, haven't checked yet, but with this recent e.mail from Skoooodah

    Dear Mr VV,

Thank you for your email addressed to my colleague "deleted" I have been asked to review this matter and respond.

I have noted your comments regarding your concerns and may I reiterate as advised by "deleted" in her email to you 23 October 2007 that unless the vehicle is taken to an approved Skoda retailer and your concerns are reproduced we are unable to assist you further.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

    Yours sincerely,

    Customer Service Specialist

Needless to say guess whose cars will not be being purchased by me in future again, they won't come 3 miles to experience the fault, I can't get the fault to do it near them, and as the old saying goes, I'm fooked, it's the pedal bushes or a spring causing it, but they clearly want to wash hands of it, so I'll live with it for another 12 mths and tell everybody who expresses an interest in the car what a nice car it is but how poor Skoda and their dealers can be.

Funny thing is, one of the guys on Briskoda who knows his stuff says the VW ones for the PD engine with an auto are water cooled and not too reliable, I wonder if it's the same issue on a CDTi.

Mine was knocking, I suspected a diaphram having a tear in it causing it, as usual the Skoooda mechanic wasn't sure if it had one in it, talk about throw away society.
