    Red face help 3.2 gsi

    does anyone know how to change the rocker cover gaskets on the 3.2 gsi .thanks

    yep.. sure do...

    remove the intake hose and the intake butterfly assy to expose the 6th plenubm screw..pop off the 'ecotec' cover to reveal the other 5 fixings..warning these corrode into the intake manifold and are very tight to crack..
    remove the intake plenubm and all it's associated pipework..water lines and electrical connections..

    remove the two sparkpacks from either bank..
    remove the camcover bolts and raise the cover off...if you're unlucky the oil will be down the sparkplug cavaties and you'll have to mop it out with absorbant roll..remove gasket from cover and clean cover in brake cleaner..clean mating surface on cylinder head with brake cleaner..

    fit new gasket to camcover..apply bead of high temp RTV sealant to the cylinder head and bed the gasket+cam cover assy into the sealant.. tighten camcover bolts and reassemble engine..
