Not unless a squashed head is terminal anyway
Nice photos. I wondered who the exhaust belonged to.
After todays events...i summed it up... Nutron has no brain ...LOL
If he`s right i know wheres theres a house full ... he made me chuckle a few times.
After all that the pod was
Trophy still up for grabs ....
Now im getting carried away....sorry
Reminds me of some of the risks I used to take, around 1983 me and a friend fitted a clutch to his MK111 GXL using only a trolley jack, it was rocking all over the place as we wiggled the box back on, shudders thinking back about it now.
You need to be more careful Nut, no one wants to see you end up in hospital for the sake of a couple of axle stands, so, do me a favour mate and promise not to get under unsecured cars in future.
Nice picture's. Is Nutron on a suicide mission. Never stick you head/chest under a car with a VX jack. they can't even make a handbrake work.
News paper reads. Man crushed to death to make his car get a couple of extra HP. WHY.
he would off been pi--ed if the lorry had reversed over his exhaust and there would be no way i would get under the car on a silly sissor jack
Well I don't know how low his car is, but there's no way I could get under my car with it sat in the normal position, so if it fell on me while I was under it (even with the wheels all on) it'd squish me for sure - and I'm a slim chap as well.
Just looking at that pic again makes me shudder Karl! Very, very risky thing to do m8! Pack a couple of axle stands next time at least - sooooo much safer!
Even with my car supported on a couple of Sealy 3 tonne stands, I still have the 3 tonne trolley jack just under the jacking point, just up against it, ready to take any load if anything happened to a stand. Even doing all that, if I'm right under the car doing anything - like adjusting some exhaust stuff as I was recently, I'm still very conscious of the result if the car shifted!! - so I always periodically check that everything is sat as it was, nothing's moved etc. No such thing as being too careful when you're working under 1.5 tonnes of car! As for going under with just a single scissor jack - complete madness!!
D
Well.....
I was the only one to go over to Nutron and expressed my serious concern at him being under his car with just his ankles showing !!.... held in the air (on a very windy day) with just a scissor jack !!...
To express my concern further I grabbed his ankles and pulled him out from under the car whilst he was still holding on to his exhaust !!
So I think he got the message.... Karl !!.... you DID get the message didnt you !!
