    Default Police (Shocking)

Whilst posting and viewing various threads last night at approx 11.40 pm i get a call of one of my sonn,s friends telling me that he,s been arrested

To cut along story short he was with a girl in a club when in waltz,s her ex , it ends up our Danny and this other bloke getting thrown out by the door staff after a miner scuffle , once outside the bloke punches and headbuts our Danny but being at fit lad he shrugged it of and didnt retaliate , the bloke continues to come at him , so Danny now having enough defends himself and lands one on him ......... Just as plod arrives.

Next thing 4 yes 4 policemen wrestle him to the floor and one rams his head in the floor before cuffing him and slaming him the back of the transit.

Ok i dont approve of fighting and alot of you know ive seen a lot of it whilst in the Army

After taking him back to the nic they left him in the van cuffed up for an hour and half to the point the poor lad had to **** his self after no one would take him on .... he
has bruises all over his chest , back ,knees , shoulders and his wrists are a mess too (cuffs) .

looks well the lad only tried to defend him self from an agresor and ends up getting slamed al over the show by plod , not to mention the humiliation of peeing his self

To end the whole rumble with the other party was captured on town center CCTV and after being viewed by the police no charges were brought on him , the other bloke also spent the night locked up too , Danny was asked if he wanted to press charges but he declined and just wants to put it behind him now

im so shocked at the unproffesional manner GT Manchester Police dealt with it
i;ll now look at them in a diffrent light

    thanks for reading
    Steve

I can't really comment without seeing all the evidence, but I will say that in my experience cuffs only make a mess of wrists if people struggle in them and pull against them.

If you feel the actions of the officers was over zealous or wrong you should get your son to make a complaint.

I was in the process of typing a long reply, but decided to sum it up by:

Two sides to every story! (And if four of us turn up and find two people fighting, all four will restrain them. We don't get paid to take punches)

Custody centres can get extremely busy, so the wait in the van was probably the delay in booking-in. Thats no excuse not to check him every so often.

Unfortunately police only see what is happening before them, not what happened previously. Thats why usually both parties are arrested and the incident investigated.

Can't comment on the officers actions as I wasn't there but if he feels over reacted then he has every right to complain if he wishes.

Surely (if that is correct) then they are not professional in their working environment.

It doesn't matter how busy they are, they should allow him the dignity of using the toilet. Not doing so is wrong, I would certainly make a formal complaint at the highest level, even if he doesn't get any 'redress' then at least it shows that this sort of behaviour from our boys in blue is NOT acceptable.

I do actually defend our police in the main, and support the sometimes very difficult work they do, but I cannot do it this time. Yes, there is always 2 sides to every story and I am commenting on only one side, but from this side it doesn't look good.

If he was left in the van for an hour and a half it will be easy to prove by looking at the reports (time of call, time of reporting en-route to nick, time of custody etc).

If I'm honest I do find it hard to believe that he would of been left for this amount of time as the force would want to get the van back on the road ASAP, and as he had been drinking they wouldn't be leaving him alone for long at all.
