I hate my job.... tommorrow morning ive just been told i have to go and meet with Former England/Newcastle/Leicester defender Steve Howey and his wife to discuss the work we are doing to their house. Never met them before but im guessing it would be unproffessional to take my Newcastle United shirt for him to sign lol

Anyone else work with or deal with 'celebrities' or sports stars etc?

I used to broker insurance for several celebrities! Most of them are fine, but some give you the "Don't you know who I am?!"

"Yes Miss Sweeny, but I thought your character in Brookside was very weak!" (got a verbal warning for that one!!!)

I'll remember that the next time I have a Parish Councillor on the phone complaining about kids playing football in the street... they are swines for "Don't you know who I am?"

If you'd really like him to sign it, stick it in the car, see how the meeting etc goes and if you think he'd be okay about it, just ask him! He can only say no.

I've had the 'pleasure' of working with some celebs - some are absolutely fantastic (just normal people), others have got their heads so far up their own a**es it's a wonder you can hear what they're saying!!!

I have no time for jumped up little Pr*cks (JULPs) like these.
The 'don't you know who I am' line probably wouldn't work with me, because I would probably genuinely not know or care who they are. the answer is of course 'don't you know who I am?'

They are only famous because we, the public, unfortunately, perpetuate there prima donna status. And they surround themselves with 'yes' people who are only there for the trappings of someone elses fame.

Maybe my perception is wrong / warped, but that is the way some (and therefore generalising) behave. eg pink pettals and only brown M+Ms etc. .
Footballers moaning that they can't survive on 'only 50,000 a week'

PATHETIC - get a real job and see how the majority live.

Sack the lot of them, that's what I say. They are all parasites....
