I should have been in my old job until the 31st October but the boss refused me unpaid leave, which I believe she CANNOT do? Anyways, done my offshore survival, contacted every offshore company but am getting no-where.

Looks like I will have to break the golden rule and ask my step-father-in-law for a job. Money would not be great but it would be driving either e transit connect, a sprinter or a 7.5 tonner all day.

TBH your better having some sort of job for the time being. Don't give up looking, i know i'm not

have you tried putting your cv on monster, my mrs did and now the phone never stops ringing for job interviews

I am indeed a newcomer to offshore stuff. Can't get a job without experience and can't get experience without a job!

Not heard back from pops in law yet but he did say he would have something for me!

Got my CV on monster, s1jobs, fish4 etc etc. Just re-wrote it too so now is a lot less cluttered. The annoying thing is I have been working in the same place for near 11 years, all my old employers have moved on! Only got a couple of references!

Anyway, fingers crossed for me. Bored out my skull doing nothing, I do not know how people can sit happily on the dole for years.
