Default radio dead and no obc

    Hi,
I've just picked up my Vectra gsi and am really happy with it but there is a slight problem with it.

When I picked it up the guy told me that the battery was flat so he's had to jump start it. Since doing this the radio doesn't come on and the satnav or any the computer stuff.

The display is workimng and showing the vauxhall symbol and the climate control works on the display.

I am hoping this is just a fuse or something but I can't see untill morning.

Has anybody got any ideas what it could be please

The chap really does seem a genuine chap and he said he will pay for the repairs but I was hoping it was just something silly

it could be the fuse in the back of the unit ...10Amp blade springs to mind..it may have suffered in a voltage spike..the Satnav and OBC run via the HU, so it should be fine when it's powered up

make sure you have the code before you remove the unit, or it'll be £20 at the dealers and a 3 day wait to get it..

If it's a CD70 headunit, it doesn't have a code to worry about. It's part and parcel of the car and won't work in any other car unless it's been uncoupled via Tech2 first. Then when it's put into another car it will need another session of Tech2 to marry it up to the new car.

Sorted it, it was just the fuse at the back of the radio.
