Multiple flashes at a steady rate on approach normally moves em over pretty sharpish, they can't see that you aren't an unmarked patrol car if you get the distance right.

The high way code say you can pass on the left in slow moving traffic, I don't think it specifically says anything about ques though. So if the pain in the middle lane is traveling at less that 70mph, they are fair game in my book.

We have pleanty of copper jobs on here, have any of you actually pulled someone over for sitting in the middle lane? (If not why not, if only to see if they are drunk)

    Quote from the Highway code

    268

Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake. In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right. Do not weave in and out of lanes to overtake.

Lane hogging and driving too slowly/failing to keep up with traffic are not seen as a priority, even though they disrupt the flow of traffic and cause accidents. IMO

I don't lane hop but I do sometimes pass the morrons that are glued in the middle lane if they won't move.

I shall sucome to the wisdom of Pacarcher on that one.
