    Default Wire Colours

    Hi
New Vectra this morning, And new to the Forum Too.

Car arrived at nine this morning and by ten I had it in bits looking for the wires to the speakers in the back doors so I can tap them for a sub.

I've found them in the trunking that runs along the sills but there is a bunch of about half a dozen wires that run into the bulkhead and then into the doors. can anyone tell me the colours of the two wires that feed the speaker?

Also, while we're on, has anyone ever retrofitted and aux input to the CD30?

    Cheers
    J

can high and low are twisted together as well , DONT wire into those , big bills may appear , check wire colours at the back of the audio unit , infact thats the easiest place to go from . aux input ? unless its on the pin map on the unit , speak to your dealer , aux inputs are available for the new 2008 spec headunits .

FYI, dealers use a database called TIS2000 that contains the wiring diagrams. As far as I know there are no hardcopy schematics available.

Note: don't hook anything other than a CAN transceiver to Green and White twisted pairs - they're the CAN wires and won't appreciate having speakers or amplifiers hooked up to them!
