    Default Ex-Mondeo Owner says Hello

Actually ex-(many Fords) but last was a Mondy V6. So I thought I'd see what the competition was like.

Had the Vectra for about about a month now, it's my first Vauxhall, and am quite impressed (except the road noise - please take a look at my plea for further info: http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=32684).

I'm surprised how light the steering is - and very sensitive. Are all Vauxhalls like this?

Been lurking since I thought about buying the Vectra, and was very impressed with this site. I cannot deny it had a bearing on my purchase.

    Bye for now.

The steering is an odd one , one minute light the next heavy and it makes piloting the car a bit of a pig , suspension ...well i wont bother going there bouncy castle springs to mind ,

The vectra is a better made car by a long way , you can feel that just by opening a door , and the little features that keep gadget freaks happy , windows that will close if it rains DAB radio etc etc are all things the mondeo dosnt have and my vectra does .

    downsides

The mondeo is by a very long margain the better drivers car , if steering feel body control and driving pleasure are your thing , the vecs the wrong place to look , yes you can push it quite are but then it falls to peices and give bad feedback through the wheel and seat , leaving you frustrated.
