I dont know how I got it..... but I did !!!.....

I said I wouldnt fit a VXR Front bumper to the VXRD... but I never said anything about the BTCC one !!

This is Fabrizio Giovanardi's BTCC 2007 Winners Touring Car Bumper. As seen on the TV .... and in my front living room....

Oi.... where do you think your going with that !!!!

Errr..... its for the VXRD Officer !!

... anyone guess what the "F.G" stands for ?????

    Shhh... dont tell anyone Nigel.....

Still got the 888 Stock Code sticker on it.....

.... on my driveway.... and no.... this is not a photoshop this time....

I didnt have time to fit it... so just placed it in front for now.....

I learned that they build these bumpers at 888 Race Enginnering on site. They are fibreglass and they apply the paint to the bumper mould first... then they lay the fibreglass over the paint inside the mould.

So when it comes out.... its already painted !!...... and then they simply apply the stickers.... very clever.

This bumper has some damage on the left hand side and right hand side, where they have used red masking tape to hide the abrasion points. It still has bits of rubber and broken glass on the inside of the bumper, oil spatter marks and other 'Touring Car Race Abrasions....'

Very cool (if you like that sort of thing )
