    Default Question About Parking Restrictions

Here's the scene. I service machines in two shops in Biggleswade and am generally in each shop for about half an hour on regular maintenance calls or can be in excess of an hour on a breakdown.
One has parking outside which is free for one hour & no return within one hour. The other shop literally 300 yards up the road has parking just across the road from the for mentioned parking restriction and has two hour free parking and no return within one hour.
Now if I'm doing a general maintenace call I'd park in the two hour spaces and walk to the furthest shop only carrying some aerosols but if a breakdown occurs it's handy to have the van outside the shop front as replacement parts can be heavy.
So my question is does the hour no return from the first area apply to the second area with two hour parking? I.e can I park in the hour space for 45 mins then move 300 yards up the road and park for a further 45 mins say?
I would of thought I can as I've moved from one set of parking restriction rules into an area where different rules apply.
Can anyone confirm my thoughts before one day I get a ticket.

I think you are right. I think you would have a good case if they did ticket you as the bays are on different restrictions..

Same here - they are different parking restrictions therefore the rules can't be applied between them.

We used to do something like that on a site in Greenwich. Each parking area was zoned (indicated on little notices on lamposts I think), so you just had to make sure you moved to a different zone to avoid tickets.

I often find myself in the same boat, I would say you are right, but, if you are anything like me, you will still get a ticket.
