    Default Whats covered?

Does anyone know if warranty wise etc. would cover the dual mass fly wheel problem? I have just found that i have this issue but really cannot afford the £1200 quoted to fix it. A full warranty will cost me £300 to cover everything but as we all know they often turn around and say sorry not covered !!!

Has anyone been through this before? the claim that is!!

    Many thanks..

Just wondering has anyone gone through a claim for the flywheel with a 3rd party warranty provider?

are you sure its more than 3 years old? if it is but has a top service record Vx should still offer to cover a percentage of the costs as its less then 60k, if oly just. Best thing to do is to call one of these companys and see what they exclude on your car. I would have thought t would be covered but the clutch that goes with it may not be

depends who the warranty provider is and cover level. most upper level covers will cover the "flywheel/driveplate" At that sort of mileage it should be deemed as a premature failure and not wear and tear..Again it depends who the provider is ....

I would look at how far out of 3 years you are. If you have a full service history then, as said above, you may find you get a helping hand from VX by way of part payment.
